For a Healthy Colon… Eat and Drink!
That’s right; eat and drink. Now don’t get your hopes up. That doesn’t mean donuts, fried chicken and ice cream topped off with beer.
Recently published (Dec. 2009) in the International Journal of Cancer was a study that showed eating fruits and veggies, drinking green tea and red wine appears to offer some protection from colon and rectal cancers.
It seems as though these same common denominators are not only good for your heart… but for your colon as well.
Considering that just a few months ago, the World Health Organization released a study showing that 40% of all cancers are preventable, and sited not smoking, proper diet and exercise as ways to prevent cancer; it is likely we will continue to see more and more study results along these lines!
Eat your fruits and veggies, drink green tea and red wine (just not too much of this) and you could be protecting your health more than you ever thought. Just in case you’re not into green tea or red wine, then get their key components in supplements.
