Army Has Interest in Supplements

Researchers at the University of South Carolina are working with the army to test if certain dietary supplements, such as Echinacea, can boost performance. Their findings may lead them to use these nutrients in soldiers’ ready to eat meals. If a soldiers’ performance could be enhanced even a small amount, that extra level of alertness or endurance could be the difference between life and death.
We find it quite interesting that the body of research currently available on Echinacea contains such facts and findings that it has come to the attention of the armed forces for consideration as a means of perhaps boosting performance.
