High cholesterol
is something we all want to avoid. It is a well-known risk factor
that contributes to heart disease. Additionally, most of us would
like to maintain healthy cholesterol levels without taking
prescription drugs (too many side effects). Luckily, there have been
numerous scientific studies that have shown there are life-style and
nutritional practices that can have a significant impact on
cholesterol levels.
To help manage cholesterol levels:
1. Follow a heart healthy diet. This includes reducing saturated
fats, such as those in red meat and dairy products. Try substituting
chicken, fish or soy, and use low-fat or nonfat dairy products.
2. Avoid trans-fats. Stay away from products whose labels contain
the words “partially hydrogenated oil’.
3. Use garlic whenever possible. Garlic has shown to effectively
reduce cholesterol levels
4. Drink green tea. The anti-oxidants in green tea have shown to
help lower cholesterol and to help prevent the cholesterol in your
blood from oxidizing. Don’t do green tea? Then order Brabec Basics
Green Tea Extract capsules.
5. Get regular exercise and manage your stress level.
6. Consider taking OneLife’s Co-Q 10
and Something Smells Fishy products. The specific anti-oxidant
activity of Co-Q10
appears to benefit the heart by helping to prevent blood clots,
maintaining healthy blood vessels, and supporting the optimal
functioning of the heart muscle. The 100% salmon oil in OneLife’s
Something Smells Fishy contains an abundance of essential fatty
acids known as omega-3’s. Daily doses of salmon oil have been shown
to be an effective preventative strategy against heart disease. It
has also shown to lower triglyceride (blood fat) levels, minimize
inflammation and clotting, and increase HDL (‘good’) cholesterol. OneLife’s Something Smells Fishy (100% pure salmon oil)
and Super Flaxseed + Greens (flaxseed + veggies)
are great sources of omega-3's All OneLifeUSA products are
