What is Melatonin?
    
Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland, a pea-size structure at the center of the brain. At night, as our eyes register  darkness, melatonin is produced to help our bodies regulate our sleep-wake cycles. The amount of melatonin produced by our body seems to lessen as we get older.  believe this Researchers feels this may explain why young people have less problems sleeping than older people.

Studies have shown taking melatonin supplements can help us sleep and ease jet lag. Taking melatonin has shown to be safe; it is non-addictive and has no side or morning after effects (like most over-the-counter and prescription sleep aids). may have many other uses and has been reported to make people feel better, strengthen the immune system, and reduce free radicals in the body. When Should I Take it?
