B-6: Pyridoxine - Vitamin B-6 also known as
Pyridoxine is a water soluble vitamin. It is needed to make
hormones, proteins and enzymes. This vitamin has also been
studied because of it's benefits in helping to prevent heart
disease. The main job of pyridoxine is shuffling around your
amino acids to make the 5,000 plus proteins your body needs
to function. It is also involved in making 60 different
enzymes.
Niacin - Niacin, commonly referred to as B-3 and
is water soluble. It releases energy, makes hormones,
removes toxins and helps keep cholesterol normal. According
to Dr. Katz, niacin is a potent HGH releaser.
L- Arginine - This is an essential amino acid.
Meaning that the body cannot create this on its own, but
must get it from the foods we eat. According to Dr. Katz,
“There is no doubt that arginine causes the secretion of
growth hormone.”
Gama Aminpbutric acid - GABA is a
neurotransmitter that is involved in the regulation of the
anterior pituitary gland, which secretes growth hormone.
According to Dr. Katz, it is “...one of the most potent
stimulators of growth hormone … that has been discovered.”
L-Lysine - This is an amino acid that affects
bone formation, height, and genital function. According to
Dr. Katz, it is the combination of lysine and arginine that
is important. He refers to lysine as the “arginine booster.”
L- Ornithine - Ornithine is a nonessential
amino acid. That means it can be synthesized from other food
sources. It can be made from arginine and is very similar in
structure. Researchers, Pearson and Shaw say that “on a per
gram basis, ornithine is about double the effectiveness -
and cost - of arginine.” they report that “ornithine taken
on an empty stomach at bedtime causes growth hormone
release.” Ornithine shows the most promise when used with
other amino acids, like arginine, lysine, or glutamine.
L
- Glutamine - This is the most abundant amino
acid in the body. It is a conditionally essential amino
acid. That means, the body may not be able to manufacture
all it needs when under physical stress. According to Dr.
Katz, glutamine is “an effective growth hormone releaser.”
L
- Glycine - Glycine is a nonessential amino
acid. It has been found to increase growth hormone in serum.
According to Dr. Katz, this amino acid has been “overlooked
as a growth hormone releaser.” It is inexpensive and well
tolerated.
Coenzyme Q-10 - This a naturally occurring
vitamin like constituent of most cells, has also been shown
to extend the life span in animals and may slow the fall in
growth hormone. CoQ10 is considered not only to be a
metabolic enhancer but an anti-aging drug. It has been shown
to help prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure, improve
the gums and reduce periodontal disease, and stabilize aging
cell membranes.
